Author Guidelines
Everything you need to prepare a submission to IJCE.
Article types
Research Article
Original, unpublished research presenting new findings, methods, or results.
Review Article
A comprehensive survey and critical analysis of existing literature on a specific topic.
Case Study
An in-depth examination of a specific instance, application, or real-world scenario.
Short Communication
A brief report of significant, timely findings that merit rapid publication.
Manuscript preparation
Formatting
Manuscripts should be submitted as a Word document (.doc or .docx), double-spaced, using a standard 11 or 12pt font, with numbered pages and line numbers throughout.
Structure
Include a title page (title, authors, affiliations, corresponding author contact), abstract (200–300 words), keywords (4–6), introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, and references.
Figures and tables
Number figures and tables sequentially, with clear captions. Ensure all images are high resolution (minimum 300 DPI) and properly labeled.
References
Use a consistent citation style throughout (APA, IEEE, or the style specified in your field). Ensure all in-text citations correspond to entries in the reference list.
Length
Research and review articles typically range from 4,000–8,000 words; case studies and short communications should be more concise.
Before you submit
- Confirm the manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Remove any identifying author information from the manuscript body (for double-blind review).
- Ensure all authors have approved the final version and agree to submission.
