Publication Ethics

IJCE is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, in line with best practices set out by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authorship

All listed authors must have made a significant intellectual contribution to the work and must approve the final manuscript before submission. Any change to the author list after submission requires written agreement from all authors.

Originality & plagiarism

Submitted manuscripts must be original and not previously published or under review elsewhere. All submissions are screened using plagiarism-detection software; manuscripts exceeding the journal's similarity threshold are returned to authors or rejected.

Conflicts of interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could be perceived as influencing the objectivity of the research or its review.

Data & reproducibility

Authors should be prepared to provide underlying data supporting their manuscript, upon reasonable request, for verification purposes.

Handling of misconduct

Allegations of research or publication misconduct are investigated by the editorial board. Confirmed cases may result in manuscript rejection, retraction of published work, and notification to the authors' institution.

Correction & retraction policy

Errors identified after publication are corrected via a formal erratum. Articles found to contain falsified data, plagiarism, or other serious violations may be retracted, with a retraction notice published in their place.
